AudienceView Professional

The entire process, from data import to training and final use, has been one of my best experiences when switching to a new ticketing platform. The system is easy to use and intuitive for my box office staff. I would like more customizable options in the web interface, but I'm not aware of any other issues.

The software is packed with features. Compared to some competitors, it offers a much more robust set of options, especially for event creation and package management. We also appreciate the improvements AudienceView has made to customer service in recent years. Tickets are responded to quickly and efficiently. AV Professional has been built piecemeal over many years, so many aspects that should work consistently or connect seamlessly don't. For example, the interfaces for pre-show and post-show emails are completely different, and neither is very user-friendly. We chose AV because we needed affordable ticketing software that could handle seating maps, and that experience has been excellent. Since we started, new features have been rolled out that have allowed us to create a better, more readable seating map for our unconventional space.

We used to have to double and triple check every ticket, transaction, and show, but this software is fast, reliable, and hard to mess up. Haha! If there's any complaint, it's that there are too many functions for me to even use! I've probably only scratched the surface with 25% of the possible options. From my perspective, I haven't seen anything that needs fixing.

The box office ticket sales flow is easy and the dashboard shows everything at a glance. Customizable content calendars, like filtering only concerts or only films, are helpful. However, it's not embeddable into our website, which is a downside. We can't track traffic to AV sales pages accurately, so we can't measure full ROI. The report module has many options but can be limiting, like creating a report for first-time patrons requires a weird workaround. AV helps us run over 70 events annually, create multi-event packages, and offer memberships with multiple benefits. Reconciles easily with QuickBooks.

The customer support is fantastic. They are quick, efficient, and the help site is always up-to-date. The system is easy to use and train new employees or volunteers. We consider it our central hub for all patron needs. Some features aren't automatically enabled and require a work order to activate. We use it for all ticketing and our patron database. The cloud-based system allows us to work from anywhere.

The customer-facing interface, especially after recent updates, is very intuitive. Access to basic reporting for both box office and donor activities is straightforward. Since absorbing OvationTix, there have been many platform improvements, but they're slow to roll out. If you have non-traditional events or venues, you often need to find workarounds. Financial reporting could be clearer. Managing patron activity and allowing patrons to handle nearly all business online if they choose.

The web-based nature is great for processing orders remotely. Detailed reports provide exactly the information we need. Being able to integrate a credit card reader is a plus. But it's disappointing that there's no option to connect a cash drawer. Also, in the sales interface, you can't view the entire seating map at once. I'd like a simpler sales-only mode for box office staff that doesn't allow them to modify show settings. Those are the only drawbacks I can think of. We've reduced our box office staffing needs. The ability to code tickets so patrons can apply promo codes on the sales link is helpful. Adding fundraiser campaigns at checkout is also good. Collecting detailed patron demographics has been beneficial.

AudienceView Professional has greatly streamlined the ticketing process for our annual event. The various modules for events, patrons, donations, and products make daily use simple. Recreating events year after year is incredibly straightforward. We rely on the dashboard and provided website daily. Integrating links into our marketing and website is seamless and user-friendly. Any issues we've encountered were handled quickly and resolved with frequent updates. We also value the direct interaction support professionals have with our team and volunteers. We've used AudienceView to improve our operations and would recommend it to others. It has eliminated the long lines on ticket launch days and provided a patron management system that boosts customer engagement and volunteer ease. It has also made handling recurring tickets and accessing past patron records more efficient. We've added a donation component with different donor levels and early ticket access.

The main reason I prefer AudienceView over other ticketing platforms is its ease of use. Most features are straightforward to set up and navigate. Whenever I've had questions or run into issues, they've been addressed promptly. Their customer support is excellent and timely. Another big plus is the level of detail I can manage. It simplifies pulling data on patrons, sales, donations, and more, which helps me stay organized. The pricing might seem high, but only if you're not using it to its full capacity. This platform lets me maintain organization and track all donors, patrons, and ticket sales easily. I've experimented with other systems and disliked needing multiple tools to track information.

Switching to AudienceView Professional four years ago was surprisingly smooth. The data migration went off without a hitch, the training was thorough and straightforward, and our team incorporated it into daily operations without any disruption. As a small but dedicated nonprofit arts council that supports various art forms, operates an intimate venue, and manages memberships, I value how well AudienceView Professional adapts to our diverse requirements, even those that go beyond standard event ticketing. The support staff excels at proposing innovative solutions to meet our goals, such as handling summer camp registration. Tracking donor and patron engagement is crucial for us, and I love that a CRM is built-in and linked to our ticketing, membership, and donation histories. I also appreciate the regular system updates that enhance functionality and user experience. Honestly, I can't say there's anything I dislike about AudienceView Professional. Our needs are sometimes unconventional, and it's not fair to expect custom features for a small group like ours, but the support team usually helps us find workarounds. We've introduced more member perks, including discounts on art exhibit submissions (paid through Products) and tiered event ticket discounts to encourage more participation. Our venue has an open floor plan with flexible seating depending on the performance, so having multiple seating layouts is a huge advantage. The ability to deactivate seats for sale when ticket sales are slow lets us adjust the layout to avoid looking empty. (One minor issue: deactivated seats still show as tables online, which can confuse patrons.)
