"Requires Major Overhaul and Investment"
Angelfish was my first analytics application. The interface is convoluted and it takes a while to learn everything. The only thing I liked was customer support—and that was because I had so many problems that I had to contact them constantly. The dashboard is painful; navigation and initial setup are difficult. The notification system doesn't work properly. The search bar is inadequate and you can easily lose everything. It needs updates! We tried to use Angelfish to analyze and get information about our clients, especially to identify opportunities and threats.

"Angelfish Evaluation"
Self-hosting data automation and social media integration are still under review, so I can't comment on them yet. Protecting critical data is important.

"Angelfish Tool Review"
Angelfish Software works well as an on-premises, self-hosted solution, and my team does great web analysis from the data it provides. Also, the application is helpful for monitoring how users interact with our websites. The web-based applications need more development to help the analysis team learn more about web visitors and their behavior on the pages. Angelfish gives us multiple tracking methods without requiring coding to find actionable data.

"Excellent Analytics Tool"
Angelfish software helps track and monitor websites securely, and the data is stored on our local machine so no one else can see or leak it. I don't think there's a free version available; the minimum price I know of is around $1000. But it has most of the features I need. Otherwise, it's fine—I can analyze my website and easily identify areas for improvement. The big benefit is being able to read users' minds and see where they are interested on the site.
"Tracked Users Without Tagging, Useful as Ad Blocking Increases"
We have high administrative control over data and customization. The details in each category and subcategory really help us. It doesn't rely on JavaScript like traditional players. A free tier would be much appreciated by users rather than just a few-day trial, as people need time to integrate and set up their data. I would urge Angelfish to reconsider this. As tag blocking becomes common and privacy concerns grow, we use Angelfish to get complete user usage reports in a secure manner.

"Decent, But Not Exceptional"
The websites are monitored using Angelfish software, and the data is stored locally on our machine, which is the best part for me. Their pricing is a bit on the higher side compared to other competitors. I use this tool to analyze my company's website visitors to see if my website is reaching the right audience or not.

"Privacy-First Analytics with Complete Data Control"
I appreciate Angelfish Software for its unbeatable mix of accurate server-log analytics and strong GDPR compliance. Running it self-hosted on our infrastructure gives us full data sovereignty, so we don't have to worry about sending sensitive user data to outside parties, which is critical for our business in Germany. I also like that it captures 100% of real traffic, including visitors who block tracking scripts and activity on our internal intranet and applications. Angelfish provides complete and reliable insights that we can trust for decision-making, unlike cloud-based tools that may show incomplete or skewed data. Creating custom reports is more complex than it needs to be. Setting up filtered views, custom segments, or automated scheduled reports has a learning curve. The platform doesn't offer enough pre-built, business-ready templates for common use cases like traffic trends, intranet usage, or campaign tracking, so we often spend extra time building reports from scratch. We need pre-built report templates for typical business scenarios. Right now, we have to build every report from zero. Custom segments and saved filters should be easier to create and reuse. The current way of defining segments is too technical. We want a point-and-click interface where we can combine conditions like traffic source, URL path, user agent, or internal IP range without needing to grasp complex filtering logic. The initial setup was functional but definitely technical—more suited for teams with IT or server experience than for non-technical users. I use Angelfish Software for GDPR-compliant web analytics, avoiding third-party data issues. It captures 100% of traffic even with ad blockers, providing accurate insights. Its self-hosted setup keeps data private and compliant, which is crucial for our operations in Germany.

"Top Choice for On-Premises Analytics and GDPR Compliance"
I value Angelfish Software's strong emphasis on on-premises deployment and full GDPR compliance, which is essential for our German B2B operations. It lets us keep all data in-house, maintain complete data ownership, and avoid third-party data transfers—something highly valued in our industry. The platform's ability to analyze raw server logs ensures we capture accurate and complete user behavior data even when tracking scripts are blocked, giving us reliable reporting and straightforward integration into our internal workflows. Initial setup was easy and well-documented, enabling smooth deployment on our internal infrastructure. While Angelfish meets our core needs well, a few improvements could make it even better for our German B2B workflow. We'd love to see more pre-built, customizable dashboard templates tailored to B2B portal analytics, which would cut down on time spent configuring reports. Additionally, deeper integration options with common European enterprise tools would streamline our internal data workflows. Some advanced filtering and segmentation features feel less intuitive compared to modern cloud platforms, and a more refined user interface would help team members get on board faster. We use Angelfish Software for on-premises web analytics and server log analysis, ensuring GDPR compliance and full data ownership. It captures complete user behavior data, supports our internal reporting, and optimizes B2B client experiences without third-party data sharing, which is crucial for data governance and transparency.

"Streamlined, Dependable, and Simple to Maintain"
I really like how lightweight Angelfish Software is, along with its dependable log tracking and minimal upkeep, which fit perfectly into our day-to-day operations at BioLebensmittel GmbH. It works quietly in the background without affecting our company's web performance, focusing solely on access logging and traffic stats, which is just what we need. The clear and uncomplicated access logs and reports are a standout feature, making it easy for us to find the necessary records for audits or compliance checks. The reliable detection of abnormal traffic gives our team timely signals to review access permissions. Additionally, the learning curve is not steep, which saves our company time and money. On the downside, it doesn't have smart automated alerts; we have to manually go through logs daily or weekly to catch unusual access like repeated views of confidential quality manuals or traffic spikes from unknown regions. There's no built-in option to set up instant email or screen notifications for suspicious activities. Also, the data filtering and segmentation capabilities are quite basic. We'd like to separate traffic from regulators, partners, and the general public for more targeted analysis, but the tool only offers simple keyword and date filters, with no way to group data by IP ranges, visitor types, or page categories in bulk. When we need to sort access records for different stakeholders before audits, we have to export raw logs and manually rearrange them in spreadsheets, which adds repetitive work. Angelfish Software solves the problem of untracked access to compliance documents, spots suspicious activity, eliminates blind spots in content updates, simplifies audit data compilation, and reduces the hassle of maintaining complex analytics tools.
