The platform's extensive features and advanced customization options require a deep understanding of your API infrastructure. Additionally, while support is responsive, more in-app tutorials or interactive onboarding would enhance the initial setup experience. Akto addresses the major challenges in modern API security, such as API sprawl, lack of visibility, and time-intensive manual testing. In today's fast-paced deployment environments, discovering undocumented or shadow APIs with traditional tools is nearly impossible, but Akto's autonomous discovery and inventory ensure no endpoint slips through, significantly reducing blind spots. It also tackles the inefficiency of manual testing by automating deep vulnerability checks and sensitive data detection, accelerating our security audits by 50 times and enabling us to address issues before they hit production. The AI agents learn continuously, ensuring our defenses evolve with emerging threats. The interface is exceptionally clear and easy to navigate. Projects can be handled independently but within the same workspace, eliminating the need to switch files like with Burpsuite for each new project. The PoCs are the finest I've seen, and the categorization of vulnerabilities and security risks is well done. Additionally, the platform offers training sessions, which are fantastic for onboarding interns and trainees, providing them with easy access to basic knowledge. Reports can be exported as well. Integration, or rather implementation, is quite straightforward once you're fully familiarized with the tool. I've used it multiple times, and each login reveals a new feature! It's not exactly a downside, but Akto is extensive and contains a wealth of details to explore, so a significant investment of time is needed to fully uncover it. It's an easy-to-use DAST and IAST scanning tool; I've recently explored several tools for automating API and web application security, but none match the level of detail, PoC support, and solution guidance. Setting up authorization has been problematic with other tools, but here I've never encountered issues like being unauthenticated or unauthorized during scans. I haven't needed support yet, so I can't comment on that aspect.

The standout feature is the worry-free security it provides. The experience is smooth. Occasionally, it's challenging to fully understand. Even though I know it works, the way it delivers its services isn't clearly laid out. It's effectively addressing the concerns around AI security.

The API security setup is straightforward to grasp, especially when compared to other implementations that appear unnecessarily complex. At this point, I don't see any drawbacks. The continuous vulnerability scanning feature could be made more intuitive. The platform addresses data orchestration and breach prevention effectively.

Time savings are significant. However, the frequency of alerts can be overwhelming, requiring time to filter out what's important. Some findings lack actionable guidance, leaving you to determine the solution yourself. Akto helps identify API issues early, preventing them from escalating. I no longer have to manually inspect everything, which is a major time saver. It also provides improved insight into my systems, allowing for faster resolution.
