Optimizing Workloads with VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure, and GCP Using NetApp

What is VMware Cloud?

VMware Cloud is a platform that allows organizations to run VMware applications on public cloud infrastructure. With partnerships with various Infrastructure as a Service providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and others, VMware Cloud supports cloud migration and hybrid cloud deployments. It provides a centralized management solution for workloads across on-premises and public cloud environments, enabling a unified operating model for virtualized applications.

VMware on AWS

VMware on AWS enables organizations to leverage familiar VMware tools in running software-defined data centers on public clouds. This service runs on dedicated bare-metal machines in Amazon and integrates key components like vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vCenter. VMware Cloud on AWS allows for seamless migration of VMware workloads to the Amazon cloud with tight integration with AWS services, fast networking capabilities, all-flash storage for optimal performance, disaster recovery support, and multiple migration options.

VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts

VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts is a hybrid cloud service that allows running VMware software-defined data centers with all respective components in on-premises setups. With capabilities like workload portability, cloud bursting, on-demand service consumption, self-service provisioning, and seamless access to Amazon services, this service provides organizations with flexibility in managing workloads between on-premises and cloud environments.

Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) on VMware

Amazon RDS on VMware enables organizations to deploy database services as part of VMware software-defined data centers. Organizations can manage databases locally using a DBaaS model, migrate databases to VMware Cloud on AWS, and automate database management for on-premises and cloud infrastructures, enhancing database deployment and management efficiency across environments.

VMware on Azure

The Azure VMware solution allows the creation of a private cloud within Azure, housing vSphere clusters on dedicated Azure infrastructure. With features like continuous testing and validation, a fully managed VMware compliant environment, flexible host deployment, support for various VMware technologies, and connectivity options with Azure ExpressRoute or VPN, organizations can seamlessly migrate workloads, deploy new VMs, and utilize Azure services within their private cloud environments on Azure.

VMware on Google Cloud

Google Cloud VMware Engine offers a dedicated environment within Google Cloud optimized for VMware workloads. With a simple user experience for setting up a VMware SDDC, integrated support for VMware Engine and other Google Cloud services, high-speed networking with dedicated bandwidth, all-flash NVMe storage, compute instances based on Intel Xeon Processors, and managed compute and storage resources, this service provides organizations with a powerful platform for running VMware workloads on Google Cloud.
