Assurance IQ encountered challenges with agent ramp up time, with new agents taking 6 months to match the effectiveness of experienced agents. Additionally, agents had to navigate through 6,000+ insurance plans, leading to time constraints and missed sales opportunities.
Collaborative Solution by Alltius and Assurance IQ
To overcome these challenges, CTO Nick Howard collaborated with Alltius to develop an AI tool that would assist agents in real-time conversations with customers. This tool would help agents identify plans, compare benefits, and provide valuable insights to close sales effectively.
Implementation of Alltius Assistants
A cross-functional team comprised of software engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists from both Alltius and Assurance worked together to implement Alltius assistants swiftly. The setup on the web app platform was seamless, with hundreds of medicare plans ingested and coached in minutes.
Phases of the Pilot Project
The pilot project was divided into three phases over 10 weeks. Phase 1 focused on customising skills such as narrowing the search, comparing plans, pitching a plan, and building the information grid. Phase 2 involved quality testing to ensure accurate responses, achieving a precision rate of 100% and a recall rate of 96.2%. Finally, Phase 3 validated the prototype with agent trainers and new agents.
