Simplified Virtual Data Center Configuration
Building and configuring a virtual data center can be a daunting task, but with IONOS Data Center Designer (DCD), this process becomes easy, user-friendly, and efficient. The DCD, part of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), offers a browser-based graphic interface that simplifies the creation and modification of your data center quickly. You can precisely configure your virtual IT infrastructure to meet your company's specific needs.
Intuitive Configuration Interface
The DCD operates on a drag-and-drop mechanism, allowing you to seamlessly place components on a whiteboard and organize them effortlessly. This intuitive interface checks the plausibility of your configuration in real-time, ensuring accurate and error-free setup. Additionally, the Live Vertical Scaling feature enables you to adjust resources with a simple slider, while connectivity, storage, servers, firewalls, and load balancers can be customized to secure and optimize your infrastructure.
Flexible Resource Allocation
With the DCD, you have the flexibility to allocate resources according to your requirements. You can add up to 62 cores and 240 GB of RAM per server with AMD processors or up to 27 hyper-threaded cores and 120 GB RAM with Intel CPUs. The Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) ensures that all components of your virtual data center can be adjusted to create a tailored and efficient IT environment.
Comprehensive Management Tools
The DCD offers advanced management tools to handle complex settings effortlessly. Features like IP Manager allow you to reserve and manage IP addresses within your network, while the Image Manager facilitates the management of HDD and ISO images. Automatic start/stop functionality helps conserve resources by shutting down unused servers when not required, saving costs and optimizing performance.
24/7 Accessibility and API Integration
Access your virtual data center anytime with the DCD in Compute Engine and make quick configuration changes as needed. If graphical interfaces are not your preference, the Cloud REST API offers an alternative method to control your infrastructure. In addition, the DevOps community provides SDKs, tutorials, and modules for extensive customization of your setup.
