Honeywell Enraf Tank Gauging: Enhancing Accuracy and Reliability in Gas Flow Measurement

The Significance of Multipath Ultrasonic Meters

Since the release of the AGA Report No. 9 in 1998, multipath ultrasonic flow meters have emerged as the preferred technology for measuring flow in large pipelines, particularly in natural gas custody transfer applications. This preference stems from several key advantages, including exceptional measurement accuracy, high turndown ratios, resilience against installation effects, and cost efficiency. Despite their strengths, flow meters are still susceptible to external conditions. The layout of the upstream piping and its operational parameters influence the fluid's velocity profile as it traverses the meter. To mitigate the impact of these installation variables, the Q.Sonicmax surpasses the OIML Accuracy Class 0.5 standards.
