Artwork and Document Setup
Before submitting your print-ready design files to GreenPrinter, it is crucial to ensure that your artwork and document are accurately set up. The document size should match the trim size plus 0.125 inches bleed on all sides to avoid any errors in the printing process. Make sure to include perforations, folds, foils, or varnishes in your design if needed. If your job involves die cuts or custom shapes, specify this in your files.
Image Set-up
To maintain the best resolution in your prints, your images should be at least 300 ppi and in CMYK or grayscale mode only. Using Adobe programs like Illustrator or Photoshop, you can check and adjust the image resolution in the Image Size menu. Once you have completed the checklist for image set-up, you are ready to save and export your file for printing at GreenPrinter.
Exporting your file
When exporting your file for GreenPrinter orders, it is recommended to use PDF as the preferred file format. This ensures a quick, smooth, and error-free printing process. While Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign files are accepted, PDFs are preferred to avoid additional charges and delays. Remember to delete any instructions layer if using templates before saving and uploading your files. Follow the detailed instructions provided by GreenPrinter on how to create a PDF from Adobe applications to ensure your file is correctly formatted for printing.
