ABOUT US General Dynamics NASSCO has a rich history dating back to 1960 when it first began designing and constructing ships in San Diego. Over the years, NASSCO has established itself as the premier full-service shipyard on the West Coast of the United States. Some of the key features of the shipyard include inclined building ways, fully serviced berths, a graving dock with a lift capacity of 30,000 long tons, whirley/portal cranes, and a floating drydock certified by NASVEA. Furthermore, General Dynamics NASSCO operates ship repair facilities in strategic U.S. ports such as Bremerton, Mayport, Norfolk, and San Diego.
These facilities offer advanced ship repair, conversion, and maintenance services for both commercial and national defense assets.
