Job Overview

At GeneDx, we believe in personalized medical care starting with genetic diagnoses. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in delivering reliable data solutions for our Data Service & Platform.

Responsibilities

Architect and oversee the technical design and implementation efforts to enhance data workflows.
Propose and implement cutting-edge technical solutions to improve data applications.
Own strategic initiatives for the data platform.
Lead complex projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Mentor engineers and guide architectural strategies for data systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

10+ years as a software engineer with a proven track record.
Expert knowledge of data structures, modern design patterns, and system architecture.
Proficiency in Python and Java.
Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Experience with cloud computing platforms like OCI, AWS, or GCP.
Ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and introduce new design patterns.
