Own the design release of compute hardware, including mounting and integration. Drive the full product lifecycle from concept to sustaining engineering and improvements. Oversee engineering docs, BOM, specs, and test reports aligned to vehicle design. Define and maintain the Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for targets. Lead the ECN process for compute hardware, ensuring traceability and cross-functional buy-in. Interface with Tier 1/2 suppliers, tracking part maturity through DV, PV, PPAP. 8+ years in automotive hardware design and release, owning Domain Controllers, HPCs, or Telematics. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering. Deep technical understanding of compute architectures, high-speed data buses, and wireless connectivity. Fundamental knowledge of validation docs and processes, including DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA. Expert-level experience with BOM and ECN processes, and coordinating with external suppliers. Familiarity with CAD (NX, CATIA), PLM, and ISO 26262.
