Associate Director, Medical Affairs

The Associate Director, Sr. Field Medical Director for the Mid-Atlantic region is responsible for identifying and engaging external experts and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to enhance disease state awareness and facilitate scientific exchange. This role involves advancing clinical practices by building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influential HCPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage external experts and HCPs for disease state awareness and scientific exchange.
• Build and maintain professional relationships to support education and product awareness.
• Conduct scientific engagements discussing data, trials, barriers, and unmet needs.
• Serve as a scientific resource to HCPs for education and care pathways.
• Travel approximately 60% for visits and conferences across the territory.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD) required.
• A minimum of 2 years in Medical Affairs; MSL experience is mandatory.
• Experience in rare diseases is a plus.
• Strong background in endocrinology, nephrology, or genetics preferred.
• Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Independent, strategic thinker with cross-functional collaboration skills.
