Airframe Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Airframe Design & Analysis Engineer to support major airframe structures from design to certification and ramp-up. This role involves applying load paths, design best practices, and hand calculations for robust configurations, as well as ensuring cost-effective and fabricable designs through design for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support airframe structures from design to certification and ramp-up.
• Apply load paths and design best practices.
• Conduct hand calculations for robust configurations.
• Implement design for manufacturing principles.
• Perform composite sandwich construction and adhesive bonding.
• Develop standards for composite and metallic CAD models and drawings.
• Collaborate with design, stress, and materials & processes teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
• 3 years of experience in design, analysis, and manufacturing of composite aerostructures, or a Master's degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, Catia, or Creo.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 23 regulations.
• Experience with PDM, FEMAP, and HyperWorks.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Strong collaborative and cross-functional teamwork skills.
